No-Tent Termite Treatment in South Florida
Eliminate drywood termites without leaving your home, without a tent over your roof, and without the disruption of full fumigation. Wise House Pest Control provides no-tent termite treatment for South Florida homeowners who need effective results with minimal impact on their daily lives.
What Is No-Tent Termite Treatment?
A no-tent termite treatment focuses on treating the accessible areas of your home without the need for whole-structure fumigation. Our technicians treat the entire attic and other accessible structural areas, while also targeting locations where drywood termite activity is present, such as around windows, doors, and exposed wood components. Treatment materials are applied directly into the wood and affected areas to eliminate termite activity while allowing you to remain in your home during the process.
This approach can be effective when termite activity is accessible and confined to certain areas of the structure. If our inspection shows that termite activity is widespread or present in inaccessible areas, we will explain why tent fumigation may be the more effective long-term solution.

Signs you may have drywood termites
If you notice any of the following, it is worth scheduling an inspection before the problem spreads:

Frass (termite droppings):
Small, pellet-like droppings near baseboards, windowsills, or door frames - one of the earliest and most reliable signs of drywood termite activity.

Discarded wings:
Reproductive termites shed their wings when starting a new colony. Small piles of wings near windows or entry points are a clear warning sign.

Hollow-sounding wood:
Tap on a suspected area. If the wood sounds hollow, termites may have been feeding inside it.

Kick-out holes:
Tiny pinholes in wood where termites push out frass. Often found in door frames, window casings, or exposed beams.

Visible wood damage:
Blistering or damaged wood surfaces not caused by moisture can indicate termites feeding from the inside out.
Is No-Tent Termite Treatment Right for Your Home?
No-tent treatment is a strong option if:
- Activity Is Localized:termites are present in one or a few areas, not throughout the whole structure
- You’re Living In A Condo Or Townhome: where tenting the entire building isn't practical or possible
- You Can’t Vacate The Home, work, family, or pets make leaving for 2–3 days difficult
- You Caught The Infestation Early:a recent inspection identified activity before it spread
- You’re A Landlord Managing A Rental Property: minimizing tenant disruption is a priority
If our inspection reveals widespread activity, we will tell you clearly – and fumigation may be the more effective and cost-efficient solution. We only recommend what your home actually needs.
How the treatment Process Works
While termites don’t typically pose direct health risks, they can be extremely destructive to property.

Step 1. Inspection
We start with a thorough inspection to identify all active termite sites, confirm the species, and determine whether no-tent treatment is the right solution.

Step 2. Attic treatment
For active infestations in attic framing, our technicians apply a liquid borate product to all accessible wood. We use liquid rather than dust borate in attics because the liquid is absorbed directly into the wood, reaching termites already inside. Borate dust is effective against swarmers but will not eliminate colonies living within the wood unless injected directly.

Step 3. Wall and frame injection
For active infestations in walls, door or window frames, or other enclosed areas, our technicians inject a foam termiticide directly into the wood through small drilled holes. The foam expands to fill the gallery - the network of tunnels termites have carved inside the wood - reaching the colony where liquid alone cannot. Holes are plugged and patched after treatment.

Step 4. Cabinet treatment
If kitchen cabinets show active drywood termite activity, our technicians inject termiticide dust rather than foam. Foam can damage the thinner wood used in cabinet construction, so dust is the safer and more effective option here.

Step 5: Conducive area prevention
The visit concludes with a preventative treatment applied to conducive areas around doors, windows, and soffits - entry points where termites are most likely to establish new activity.

Step 6: Documentation and follow-up
We provide a full report of all treated areas. If ongoing monitoring is recommended, such as bait station installation for subterranean termite protection - we will walk you through your options before we leave.
What is included
Wise House offers the option to enroll in a termite warranty plan following your no-tent termite treatment. This plan provides ongoing protection and includes annual inspections to monitor your home for new termite activity. For convenience, the warranty plan can be set up with simple monthly billing.
If termite activity occurs in areas covered under the agreement, treatment will be provided according to the terms of the warranty plan. Full warranty details, coverage areas, renewal options, and any exclusions will always be clearly explained before work begins - we believe homeowners should understand exactly what they are agreeing to.
Please note that inaccessible areas cannot be treated. During your inspection, our technician will identify and document any such areas so you know precisely what is and is not covered before moving forward.
Benefits of no-tent treatment
Compared to tent fumigation, no-tent treatment means:
- No need to leave your home or pay for a hotel
- No need to remove food, medications, or plants
- No need to trim trees or shrubs around your home
- No risk of damage to your roof, satellite equipment, or outdoor fixtures
- No coordination headaches if you live in a townhome or attached unit
- Typically lower overall cost than fumigation
- Treatment happens within days of your inspection - no lengthy preparation required
How much does no-tent termite treatment cost?
No-tent treatment is typically less expensive than tent fumigation - and the savings go beyond the treatment price itself. When you factor in hotel stays, pet boarding, food disposal, and the time spent preparing your home for a tent, homeowners often save significantly by choosing no-tent when it is the right option for their situation. We price each treatment based on the size of the affected areas and the scope of work identified during the inspection. The best way to get an accurate number is with a free inspection - we will measure, assess, and give you a clear quote before any work begins.
