Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Wise House Environmental Services (“Wise House,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, www.wisehousebugs.com, and through our advertising and communication channels; how we use it; who we share it with; and the choices you have.

By using this website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you request a quote, schedule service, apply for a job, subscribe to updates, or contact us by any method, we may collect:

  • Name, phone number, and email address
  • Service address and details about your property, such as type, size, access notes, and pest history
  • Appointment preferences and service history
  • The content of messages, form submissions, emails, and texts you send us
  • If you apply for a position: your work history, qualifications, licenses, contact details, and anything else you include in your application

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size
  • Referring website or ad that brought you to us, and search terms where available
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, scroll depth, and mouse or touch interactions
  • Cookie and pixel identifiers assigned to your browser

Your IP address and these identifiers may be treated as personal information under some laws, even though they do not include your name.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from advertising platforms such as Meta and Google when you submit a lead form or click one of our ads, from review platforms, and from customers who refer you to us.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand how it is used, and measure our advertising. The main ones are:

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures traffic and how visitors move through the site. Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity — records and replays a visual reconstruction of your visit, including clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and produces heatmaps. This is more detailed than standard analytics. Clarity is configured to mask input fields, but we ask that you avoid entering sensitive information into free-text fields. Microsoft may use this data in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Meta Pixel — measures the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising and allows us to show ads to people who have visited our site. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
  • Security and performance cookies — set by our hosting, firewall, and content delivery providers to protect the site and speed up page loading. These are necessary for the site to function.

Your options: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can also opt out through the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, Google Ad Settings, your Meta ad preferences, and industry tools at optout.networkadvertising.org and optout.aboutads.info. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal where our tools support it. We do not currently respond to other “Do Not Track” signals, because no common standard exists for them.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes
  • Schedule, perform, and follow up on pest control services
  • Maintain service records and billing records
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service-related notices
  • Send marketing about specials, seasonal treatments, and new services, where you have not opted out
  • Evaluate job applications and communicate with applicants
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and services
  • Measure and improve our advertising
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, and insurance obligations

Email and Text Communications

If you provide your email address, we may send you service updates and occasional marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by contacting us. You will still receive transactional messages about services you have booked.

If you provide your mobile number and consent to text messages, we may send appointment reminders, service updates, and — where you have separately agreed — promotional messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is not shared with anyone other than the vendors that help us deliver the messages.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers who act on our behalf: website hosting and security, scheduling and customer management software, email and text message delivery, phone systems, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners — Google, Meta, and Microsoft — receive website activity data as described above. Depending on how your state’s law defines it, some of this may be considered “sharing” for targeted advertising. You can opt out using the links above or by contacting us.
  • Professional advisors such as attorneys, accountants, and insurers, where necessary.
  • Legal and safety reasons — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wise House, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers — if Wise House is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Job Applicants

If you apply for a position through our website, a social media lead form, or a job board, we collect the information in your application and use it to evaluate your candidacy and contact you. We may keep applications on file to consider you for future openings. To ask us to delete your application, contact us using the details below.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep customer and service records for as long as needed to provide services and for a further seven years, to meet tax, licensing, insurance, warranty, and legal requirements. Website analytics and session recording data are kept for the retention period configured in each platform. Job applications are kept for twelve months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, and a web application firewall. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as payment card or Social Security numbers by email or through website form fields.

Your Choices and Rights

You may, at any time:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails or text messages
  • Opt out of cookie-based advertising using the links in the cookies section

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. Residents of some states have additional rights under state privacy laws; we will honor those requests where the law applies to us.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
